Prenatal Massage
Whether you are needing time to restore, reduce symptoms of pregnancy, enhance sleep quality, or foster a deeper connection with your body and baby, this massage is for you. Don't wait for discomfort to set in – consider preventative massage early in your pregnancy for a healthier and more comfortable nine months. My prenatal massage treatments will help support you to make sure you can continue the activities you enjoy.

The prenatal massage will be performed in a side-lying position or with the support of a pregnancy body cushion (that grows as you do) and is safe throughout all trimesters. Your goals and comfort are my top priority!

Infant Massage

Massage isn't just for adults—it’s a lot of work being born and babies can benefit from therapeutic touch too! It also helps support the bond between parent and baby. Some of the infant challenges I can help with are supporting a good latch, colic, constipation, congestion, relaxation, muscle restriction, prep or recovery from tongue tie procedures.

Massage Therapy Questions

  • Absolutely! Massage therapy is a safe option throughout all stages of pregnancy, supported by scientific evidence to alleviate pain and promote a smoother birthing process. Prenatal massage offers benefits in every trimester and cannot induce early labor.

Choosing a therapist experienced in treating pregnant women ensures a more tailored and effective approach to your well-being.

  • Typically pregnant clients are comfortable laying prone (on your tummy) during the first trimester. Afterwards the two options are to lay side-lying or prone with the support of specific pregnancy pillows that grow as your belly grows. If you lay supine (on your back) I will make sure to place a wedge under your right hip to off-set the weight of the baby.

Before each treatment, we'll discuss positioning to guarantee your ongoing comfort. You're welcome to adjust your position at any time during the treatment according to your preference.

  • You can leave on or take off any clothing that will make you most comfortable. I can massage over the sheets, over the clothes or on the skin. Any area of the body that I am not working on will be covered with sheets and blankets. If there are concerns please let me know prior to treatment so we can make sure you feel as comfortable and safe as possible.

  • The first few minutes of your appointment will be spent going over your health history and discussing your reasons for seeking massage therapy. We will then move into the hands-on portions of the treatment that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. At the end of treatment we will go over any homecare and further treatment planning.

  • I am occasionally on call to provide labor and birth support. If due to this commitment I need to cancel your appointment, I will make every effort to reschedule at the earliest convenience. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

  • Of course! Although my practice focus is in women’s health during the childbearing years, I see all bodies.
